About the Position
CoCre8 Technology Solutions, based in Midrand, Johannesburg. We are seeking a Junior Financial Accountant to assist and support various functions within our financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential assistance in financial tasks, data entry, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the department. Minimum Requirements
- Matric with mathematics.
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree (articles will be an added advantage).
- Excel skills.
- 2 – 5 Years experience in a Financial Assistant or similar role.
Additional Skills required:
- Experience in an IT company will be advantageous.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Business Central or other financial systems will be an added advantage.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Accounting:
- Prepare various monthly journals and reconciliations,
- Prepare group VAT returns for review,
- Assist with BEE Audits and reports,
- Assist with Financial Audits,
- Fixed Assets Register, Maintain on BC, Additions, Scrapping and Physical verifications
- Assist FM with any financial function in Finance Department.
Debtors Administration:
- Facilitate Account applications and opening of accounts,
- Distribution of Statements and Invoices,
- Processing debtor payments,
- Reconciling accounts, resolve queries,
- Active debtors collection,
- Monthly debtors reporting and raise alert of potential problems
General Finance/Business Administration Assistance:
- Extract delivery notes and other documentation from supplier portals to receipt purchase orders as required,
- Receipt Spares as per purchase orders generated,
- Resolve any purchase discrepancies with the relevant stakeholders and escalate issues to Management, where necessary,
- Process monthly billing of service level and maintenance support agreements in line with existing service contracts,
- Order licensing as required for the above service agreements and send license confirmations to Services for activation,
- Process SLA renewals based on sales orders received,
- Process other ad hoc billing as and when required,
- Provide general assistance to the Finance team as required.
